Finishing Touches
I strive to create thoughtful interiors that delight and inspire my clients daily.
I genuinely believe that the best spaces reflect the individual they are designed for. I also work with businesses worldwide to source unique and special pieces for the home, with Australia being my most inspiring and popular supplier.
I established House of Hildyard to combine my artistic approach to presentation with classic design principles to deliver homes offering function, individuality, comfort and beauty.
Over the past eight years, I have successfully delivered efficient, elegant and functional living solutions on budget and on time.
THE PROCESS
1. FEASIBILITY
This initial phase of the project includes an in-person meeting on-site. I will find out more about you and your design ambitions for the project, along with your timescales & budgets. I'll work with you to build a detailed brief and identify your design preferences.
2. CONCEPT
As we begin the creative process, I'll develop design layouts for your property as we investigate finishes, design styles and influences.
3. DEVELOPMENT
As we move onto development, we'll now agree on the detail of the scheme. I'll refine the internal layouts and specify key finishes and materials for the floors, walls, furniture etc. At the same time, we define the lighting concepts and M&E requirements for the final presentation and sign-off.
4. SOURCING
Now that we've agreed on the concept and specifics, I will order all the materials, furniture, etc., required for your project against budget and timelines.
5. IMPLEMENTATION & DELIVERY
The best stage of the project is implementing the agreed design and delivering the project in full.
6. REVIEW
Think of this as snagging, identifying areas that don't work as expected or suit you. At this stage, we tweak the design for any areas that need final changes.
